○ (Time of acquisition)
① D-2: Arrival date (the date of alien registration upon first arrival)
② Overseas Koreans, F-4: Date of admission to school after entering the country (requires submission of school certificate, etc.)

○ (Insurance premium) 76,390 won per month from January 2025
… 50% reduction in average insurance premiums (152,790 won) for subscribers in November of the previous year

※ Reduction is applied when all requirements of not more than 300,000 won per month of income and not more
than 135 million won in the property tax table are met

○(Notification) Mail to the place of residence where foreigner registration or domestic residence has been reported

[Guidance] Application for electronic notice and automatic transfer

○ (e-notification) Send electronic documents to the applicant's email or mobile
○ (Automatic transfer) Automatic withdrawal of health insurance premiums at the end of monthly payment (25th of the previous month)

※ Late payment occurs every day after the payment deadline (25th)… Impose up to 5%

○ (Card fee) Credit card (0.8%) and debit card (0.5%) fee are borne when paying the card
○ (Application method) Visit, wireline (1577-1000), branch fax, website and app of the corporation ('The Health Insurance')
○ (Payment method) Automatic transfer, virtual account, payment to financial institutions, and payment of card to foreigners' centers
○ (Application of reduction) KRW 200 reduction per month for payment of automatic transfer and e-mail notification in the previous month's installment

* Other matters

∎ Penalties in case of insurance premium arrears: Visa extension restrictions, insurance benefits restrictions, compulsory collection

○ (Pay restriction) In case of insurance premium arrears, pay restriction from the 1st of the following month (recognized from the time of full payment)

※ Application of salary during the period of arrears is not retroactive ex) Payment on 1/5th of January, limitation of salary from 1/1 to 1/4th of January

○ (General Health Examination) Those born in odd years over the age of 20 years old… No self-burden

※ (Cervical Cancer Screening) Those born in odd years for women over 20 years of age… No self-burden
